The Lions Club has been hard at work assisting the victims of widespread flooding in southeast Kansas. Many families received financial help through $50.00 vouchers that were given to families that had been devastated by the flood. $31,500.00 has been given to date. District K1 is dedicated to the people of its communities.

District K1 Lions also distributed food to affected families and other disaster relief workers such as the Red Cross. It was incredible how thankful people were for a warm, homemade meal. Voucher booths and food lines have been set up in a number of cities including: Coffeyville, Fredonia, Neodesha, Chanute, and Iola. Often, food was supplied by Sirloin Stockade of Parsons.
