Pittsburg Lions Club's Chili and Soup Feed
2006-11-16 @ 12:03:56
Pittsburg Lions Club is preparing for our Chili and Soup feed which will be held from 5:00-8:30p.m. on Monday, November 27th at Memorial Auditorium.

This is a change from our past lunch time event. We’re hosting the feed the same evening as the downtown Christmas parade which is held from 6:00-7:00 with hopes of colder weather, a crowd already in the area and something that will add to the kick-off of the holiday season. Lion Chuck Killingsworth will play Santa at the event.

The club is also still seeking recipes for the Southeast Kansas Lions Cooking and Serving cookbook. It would be a shame not to have some of those great recipes we know are out there shared with other Lions and residents of the area.

Please submit your recipes ASAP to pittlions@sbcglobal.net or mail them to P O Box 1812 Pittsburg KS 66762 by November 17th.

Or go to submit a recipe: http://www.geocities.com/janee11/cb06.html
McCune is busy preparing for their annual Holiday visit
2006-11-16 @ 11:59:38
McCune Lions Club is busy preparing for their annual Holiday visit to shut-ins with candy and fruit. They will also have a Santa for local children. This is a major undertaking to prepare the goodies and hand deliver them to those who may not have a lot of company or certainly appreciate being thought of during the holiday season. What a great idea for other clubs to consider.
